Stronghold Cursader HD + Stronghold Crusader Extreme HD - GoG Version
Installation:
- Install game as usual
- Create Shortcuts for Stronghold Crusader.exe and Stronghold_Crusader_Extreme.exe
- If you change resolution to your desktop resolution, you can disable virtual desktop
Stronghold Cursader HD + Stronghold Crusader Extreme HD - DVD Version
Installation:
- Put your DVD in your CD/DVD drive and or mount the image with cdemu (e.g. cdemu load 0 Stronghold.Crusader.Extreme.HD.MULTi7.iso)
- Install game as usual
- Create Shortcuts for Stronghold Crusader.exe and Stronghold_Crusader_Extreme.exe
- If you change resolution to your desktop resolution, you can disable virtual desktop
Additional Information:
The game suffers from some sound issues where every sound is played twice (like an echo) about 1-2sec appart.
You should disable music to avoid very disturbing sounds, but I guess one can live with the sound effects echoing
The game supports many different resolutions, including 1080p and 720p. While 1080p is working, it might be a little laggy.
I found 720p to be very nice to look at and working at a really nice speed. Even 50-100 archers that shoot their arrows, don't slow down the game.
